Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream

Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream

One of my favorite memories of summer was my grandmother, mother, and aunts making homemade ice cream.  I loved homemade vanilla, but when fruit was added to the ice cream, I wasn't a fan (I'm a picky eater!) because I didn't like the contrasting textures of melting ice cream and solid, frozen fruit mixing in my mouth!  When we decided to make ice cream at our farm, we decided to go with soft serve machines to serve our customers and decided to completely blend the berries, peaches, and other ingredients so that our ice cream would be a smooth texture and run through the machine properly! If you're looking for homemade strawberry ice cream in South Georgia, we have you covered! Named one of the "Top 100 Plates in Georgia" by Explore Georgia, our ice cream is hard to beat!  We select the ripest berries for our ice cream to ensure maximum flavor and sweetness!  All through out our strawberry season we cut up strawberries and freeze them so that we are able to make strawberry ice cream year round.  We blend our Georgia Grown strawberries and mix with our secret recipe to put into our soft serve machines. If you visit our farm, you can choose between a cup, cone, or even a 1/2 gallon of homemade strawberry soft serve ice cream.  At times we have other flavors such as, Peach, Blueberry, Cake Batter, Butter Pecan and New York Cheesecake, depending on the season and demand.  We also have frozen lemonade, strawberry slushies, and usually muscadine, scuppernong or peach slushies as well.  Strawberry lemonade is a customer favorite. We blend the frozen lemonade and strawberry slushie for an addictive treat that you'll keep coming back for!  Our strawberry slushies are made from our strawberry cider and blended strawberries, much like a virgin daquiri.  Mixed with our frozen lemonade it is layer upon layer of just the right mix of sweet and tart!  Next time you're close by, stop in and ask for a sample of our homemade ice cream or slushies! We promise you'll be happy that you did!
