At Southern Grace Farms, we believe in educating the next generation about agriculture. In a society that craves to know where their food comes from, we enjoy taking field trip classes around a part of our farm in South Georgia and show them some of the other fruit we grow and where their food comes from. We schedule field trips for groups of 20 or more from all over South Georgia in the spring.
Field Trips are scheduled during peak Strawberry Season (usually March, April, & May).
We welcome any group (school, church, scouts, after school, etc) of 20 or more. (Groups of 50 or less will be scheduled with other small groups).
Cost is $6 per student. Family members/chaperones welcome, no admission fee. If siblings would like to participate, the fee is $3 for hayride armband or $6 to get whole field trip experience.
Field Trip Includes:
Age appropriate educational session explaining planting, growing, maintaining, & picking strawberries.
Educational (Hayless) Hayride tour of our South Georgia U-Pick Farm & (time permitting) our peanut buying point, learning about blackberries, blueberries, peaches, nectarines, and plums.
