This variety is called Chickasaw and it is one of our biggest varieties.
It is very common for them to be this big.

You will always be greeted by a
friendly face when you come to pick at our U PICK locations in Berrien and
Lowndes Counties, Georgia. In Berrien County, we have U-pick
strawberries, and
blackberries, available. In Valdosta, we have
u-pick strawberries available and when the seasons coincide, we offer already
picked strawberries & blackberries and we always have strawberry and
blackberry cider in stock along with our other country gourmet items! Pictured are Stephen McMillan and Zach Barrett.
Stephen helps out after school by keeping the stand and with him
is his cousin,
visiting from Florida, helping him
and keeping him company. Stephen is the son of Steve & Laura
McMillan. |
|
The sisters of ZTA help us at our Lowndes County location. Pictured here are a few of the girls that help us during strawberry season. They will greet you with a contagious smile and a bright hello and help you with whatever you need! Strawberries are one of ZTA's symbols so it is a unique place for them to work! Be sure to tell them that you saw them on our website! Our
country store items are available at both fields, including strawberry and
blackberry cider, relishes, pickles, salsas, jams, jellies, preserves, and more! |

Daniel and Tyson McMillan demonstrate
that picking blackberries at our U-Pick field is enjoyable and easy for
all. Tyson also helps out after school, by keeping the
U-pick stand for blackberries and strawberries. Tyson and Daniel are the
children of Tim and Margaret McMillan. |

|
| Our berries are hand picked to ensure
the quality and safety of the berries. We take pride in delivering the
highest quality berry that we can to our customers. |
Blackberry plants are trellised, and the rows are wide and clean, ensuring the safety of our U-Pick customers as
well as our workers.

Berrien Peanut Company
|
|
|
Pictured above is Berrien
Peanut Company. Berrien Peanut Co. is our peanut buying
point, located in Enigma, Ga—in front of the Enigma strawberry
field. Here we do everything that needs to be done to the peanuts
(drying, cleaning, and grading)
to get them ready to sell. We grade the peanuts and ship
them to our sheller in Rochelle, Ga. The sheller then
sells the peanuts to peanut butter and candy companies. |
